YouTuber Professor Dave Explains, recently called out an error-filled video made by pseudo-historian Dan Richards, and asserted Dan would never retract the video’s central claim. I felt obliged to comment that Dan has retracted that claim. Dave disagrees on very specific grounds, and I think he does have a case, but it really depends on what we define as a retraction.
